Michelle Wright graduated with honors from the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College in 2010 and opened Naples Valley Acupuncture. After a successful 10-year career as a special education teacher, which provided experience and a unique perspective into the health needs of many different types of people, some amazing personal experiences as an acupuncture patient helped to clarify her passion for helping people in a way that also included a long-time interest in herbal medicine and alternative forms of care.
Michelle was fortunate to work under some of the most respected professionals in the field. Her internship experiences provided a diverse and comprehensive training in multiple settings including private practice, community clinics, and hospitals. Michelle’s practice philosophy reflects a desire to be able to help anyone who walks through the clinic door. Therefore, rather than specializing in one area of ailment (such as oncology or fertility) as many acupuncturists do today, she continues to pursue more in-depth training in a variety of styles, techniques, and diseases in order to best serve the varied population of small-town upstate New York.
